Day 1 To suit travel schedule.
Day 2 47m / 62m Over rolling terrain to the headlands around the Capo Caccia and the unspoiled Nurra region.
Day 3 40m / 65m A section of the 07 Giro d' Italia into the mountains to the south, then onto the coastal town and castle of Bosa and a hilly run in.
Day 4 55m / 95m Taking in the areas spectacular secluded beaches, with the option of tackling the infamous Mt Doglia.
Day 5 Choice of a well earned rest or another great ride.
Day 6 45m / 73m Rolling terrain through diverse unspoiled landscapes and impressive remote historic villages.
Day 7 40m through vineyards and nature reserve, and a free pm, or a cracking 78m through the mountains.

With all of our combined experience we're still convinced that the North West of Sardinia is one of the top cycling venues in Europe, with the walled town of Alghero central to stunning coastlines, crystal sea, nature reserves and diverse wildlife.

highlights

Enjoy riding through nature reserves to the hair raising cliffs of Capo Caccia, Alghero’s Catalan old town, the mediaeval riverside town of Bosa, the mountainous interior, remote hill top towns, vine yards and great beaches. Ride routes used by the 2007 Giro d’ Italia and Giro d’ Sardegna.

This is a self-guided tour which includes airport transfers, all ground arrangements, accommodation and a baggage transfer for point to point days. A local representative will present detailed route notes and if necessary help you to plan the most suitable itinerary for the week.

The daily riding distances can be tailored to suit your requirements however you will need to be relatively fit and fairly experienced to experience the best of the cycling, an estimated 80km-100km per day. An itinerary which includes longer rides and tougher climbs is available to advanced cyclists on request. Ride Alghero is also available as a 3 night guided holiday, 7 night guided holiday or an epic short break.
