typical itinerary

Day 1 to suit travel schedule.
Day 2 An orientation ride of 65km or 100km through the surrounding villages and hills.
Day 3 80km or 140km Gorge De La Nesque
Day 4 65km or 115km First ascent of Mt Ventoux from Bedoin (Le Tour route) with an optional circumnavigation.
Day 5 55km or up to 120km A gentle recovery ride and lunch in the Roman town of Vaison La Romaine.
Day 6 65km or 110km A long sweeping ride of the area, taking in points of cycling and historical interest.
Day 7 As you like, a final assault on the final route up the Giant of Provence or a long leisurely ride.
Day 8 To suit travel schedule.

With a wide range terrain to enjoy, Mont Ventoux on your doorstep and the faint aroma of the bakery in the nearby village, it's easy to understand why Provence is regarded as a top holiday destination for cyclists.

Long days blasting through vineyards of the Vaucluse and Drome regions, scenic rides through the amazing Gorge De La Nesque, long grueling climbs up Mt Ventoux. Whatever your cycling preference you can wind-down off the bike and enjoy historic centres and hospitality or even venture to Vaison-la-Romaine and Avignon.

Pace and intensity are sociable, with café and lunch stops on route, and a support vehicle for Mont Ventoux days. There will be opportunities for rest or easy days however you will need to be relatively fit, confident and experienced to enjoy the best on offer. The itinerary offers at least 2 riding groups every day. Expect a minimum of 65km per day and up to 120km, with longer rides and extra climbs on demand! Groups and clubs can also book this package for training camps.
